Under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), covered entities have an obligation to safeguard the protected health information (PHI) of their patients and, in certain circumstances, require their business associates to enter into a business associate agreement (BAA) that meets the requirements of HIPAA.

Rocket Referrals uses a limited set of data to communicate with your customers and at the current time doesn't require PHI to function properly. We also do not market products or services to an individual based on PHI or target individuals using PHI. As such, Rocket Referrals does not believe you require a BAA to utilize our service.

Rocket Referrals does not require highly sensitive PHI (for example: mental health, substance abuse, or HIV information) and you should not use our systems for transmitting or storing such information.

Please use our terms of use, privacy policy and Security Outline as reference to help you communicate to your customers in regard to how their information is used.

If you believe you are providing us with PHI and intend to use Rocket Referrals in a way other than it's intended purpose that would require a BAA please contact us at legal@rocketreferrals.com to arrange the proper agreements (additional charges may apply).
