We believe text messaging can make a huge impact on improving customer relationships when combined with other communications.

This article explains how to assign or reassign phone numbers to your employees for sending and receiving text messages.

How to assign numbers to employees.

Click Settings on the left-nav menu.




Under Text Messaging, click Assign numbers.




Under Phone number, click Choose number for the unassigned phone line.

Skip to the Reassigning a phone number section below if all the numbers are assigned.




Select Toll-free (recommended for best deliverability) or Local to generate a list of phone numbers.

Right now, you can't choose an Existing number. But this option will be available soon.




Enter 3-7 digits to generate a list of phone numbers from which to choose.




Select the number you want to use, and click Choose this number.




From the drop-down menu, choose which employee you'd like to assign the number to, and select the opt-in type as well. Then click Save before exiting.


How to reassign a phone number.

On the Edit phone numbers screen, click the Phone number you'd like to reassign.




From the drop-down menu, choose which employee you'd like to assign the number to, and select the opt-in type as well. Then click Save before exiting.
